Last weekend my family and I made a day trip to a local antique store. We usually spend hours in the store just browsing and getting a good laugh at all the crazy antique pieces. This particular store has different sections that group individual vendor’s pieces together, which makes it easier to shop. My favorite is all of the vintage jewelry, especially the cameos. There is literally something for everyone to look at, including tools and hardware for my dad, knick knacks for my sister, and home goods like furniture for my mom. This time we didn’t spend nearly as much time as we normally do, but that was partly because our stomach were loudly calling our names letting us know it was lunch time. Afterwards we decided to head over to Olive Garden-fine dining right there- before we went to Home Goods.
The necklace I’m wearing was actually one of my purchases from the antique store. I immediately threw it on before we snapped these pictures and I was so surprised at how perfectly it matched. I don’t think it would necessarily be “vintage” but you can definitely tell it’s older by the way it clasps. Either way, I’m excited to add a new tropical like piece to my jewelry collection, especially since it only cost around $5.
